Structure and Support

Central Leg: The support consists of a single, imposing "monopod" leg with a large upper scroll. It is richly carved with an acanthus leaf motif that runs along the shaft and a pod-like finish in the central section.

Terminal: The leg ends with a dado element decorated with a raised rosette, resting on a bulbous foot with leaf carvings.

Under-Top Band: The band is semicircular (crescent) in shape and features a continuous frieze of interwoven runners with central rosettes, framed at the top by a leaf-patterned border and at the bottom by an elegant row of beads.

Materials and Finish

Gilding: The finish is gold leaf.

Marble Top: The top is made of fine Fior di Pesco marble, characterized by its characteristic shades ranging from gray and pink to white and purple, with dynamic veining and clouding that make it unique. The marble edge features a tapered owl's beak profile, echoing the curvature of the wooden structure.
