A refined set of four period armchairs crafted from fine solid mahogany, dating back to the first half of the 19th century (mid-Restoration/Charles X period).
The seats are distinguished by the balance between the solidity of the structure and the elegance of the hand-carved decorations, typical of the monumental neoclassical style.

Main Features:

Structure and Carving: The slightly enveloping "boat-shaped" backrest is topped by a richly carved cornice with a central rosette motif and symmetrical lateral scrolls. The armrests are masterfully finished with an acanthus leaf decoration that descends in a sinuous line towards the uprights.

Ornamental Details: The front uprights feature an elegant carving with a stylized floral motif (palmette), which lends a sense of elegance to the armchair's architectural structure. The saber legs ensure stability and stylistic coherence.
​Upholstery: The set is currently upholstered in a precious green velvet with cream-colored decorations reminiscent of imperial-inspired garland and palmette motifs. The seat is finished with a perfectly preserved brass-plated metal stud border.
