A beautiful pair of Mid-Century Modern wall sconces, model 8971, manufactured in Northern Europe in the 1970s. Each sconce features a heavy rectangular curved ice glass shade with a characteristic horizontal ribbed texture, mounted on a solid brass backplate and secured with brass screws top and bottom.
The highly textured ice glass surface creates a vibrant, atmospheric play of light — warm and diffused, with a fine linear pattern cast on the surrounding wall. The original type plate marked "8971 – Max 40W" is present on the inside of both sconces. This piece has an attribution mark,
