Rosewood two-seater sofa with black leather tufted cushions. Designed by Illum Wikkelsø for CFC Silkeborg, 1960s.
"Capella" model designed by Illum Wikkelsø for CFC Silkeborg in the 1960s. The rosewood frame works by subtraction, with clean lines and light proportions that highlight the construction of the piece and the depth of the grain. The sloping cross-braced backrest and full armrests introduce an architectural element typical of Wikkelsø, a designer known for combining comfort and formal rigor in postwar Danish design. The black leather tufted cushions accentuate the material contrast with the wood, maintaining the understated character of the piece.
