Modular mahogany wall shelf with a white lacquered metal frame and integrated drawer. Original labels present.
Designed by Nisse Strinning between the 1950s and 1960s, the "BFB-hyllan" wall shelf represents one of the evolutions of the Scandinavian modular system developed around the String language. The white lacquered metal side frame supports mahogany shelves and drawer, characterized by light proportions and meticulous carpentry details. The original "String" and "BFB-hyllan Stockholm Sweden" labels are present. The balance between the metal frame and wooden surfaces recalls the functional minimalism of mid-20th-century Swedish design.
