Impressive illuminated sign from the 1980s, featuring the iconic crocodile of the prestigious French brand Lacoste.
It was used as an advertising sign for the brand in France. Made of fiberglass, it retains its functional lighting and can be used to add a unique and fun touch to any private or public space, such as restaurants, cafes, hotels, etc. Its robust construction preserves the intensity of the brand's distinctive colors: green, red, and white. This piece is highly coveted by collectors of exclusive objects where functionality blends seamlessly with a highly decorative character. René Lacoste, the great French tennis player, born in Paris in 1904, nicknamed "Le Crocodile" (The Crocodile), found his true calling by founding the Lacoste sportswear brand, with its iconic embroidered crocodile. During the 1970s and 1980s, the brand became the quintessential symbol of the preppy style of the era.
The Lacoste logo turns 90.
