Created as part of a special edition of only 200 pieces commemorating the 200th anniversary of the American Bald Eagle as a symbol of the United States, this example is numbered 12/200, making it an especially early and desirable piece from the series. Sculptures from this edition have notable historical association as well, with one example reportedly presented by President Ronald Reagan to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, adding an interesting layer of diplomatic and collectible significance to the work.

The sculpture showcases the exceptional craftsmanship Kaiser became known for during the 20th century. The eagle is dramatically posed atop a weathered tree stump with partially spread wings, creating a wonderfully commanding silhouette.
