Oakwood. … Read more Special black edition of T22 table designed by Pierre Chapo, circa 1970 in France. Manufactured by Chapo Creation, 2021. Oakwood. In original condition, with wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Pierre Chapo is born in a family of craftsmen. After his regular studies, he worked in the workshop of a navy carpenter. He was graduated architect in 1958 from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, after having travelled in the United States and in Europe. He opened his own workshop first in Clamart as well as a shop in Paris. Chapo's work was inspired by Charlotte Perriand. Ten years later he settled down in Gordes, where he based the Societe Chapo. He then dedicated himself mainly to his work as a carpenter and a cabinetmaker and gave a series of lectures about his great passion, wood. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
