The top … Read more Spectacular floating sideboard with waterfall zebrawood veneer, solid brass pulls and all oak panel inners in the drawers. The top row of drawers are beveled to a point to create a seamless flow from the top surface of the case to the vertical face of the drawers, highlighting the beauty of the exotic waterfall zebra wood veneer that wraps around the cabinet. The bottom line of drawers have a flat horizontal top edge. All drawers are marked and numbered and correspond to the case markings made by the manufacturer as they all vary slightly in size and have to go into their specific slots. Drawers on top left and top right have 2 oak dividers to better organize the contents placed inside. Precise engineering. The cabinet has to be mounted onto a wall. Some holes have been made through the rear panel along the course of it's life that corresponded to a stud wall for anchoring and hanging the cabinet directly. Original metal label inside top left drawer 'Directional Custom Collection'. The cabinet was bought from the original owner who purchased it from Directional through the decorator in 1967. We are unable to determine which designer to attribute it to but either Paul McCobb, Paul Evans or Milo Baughman are the sure contenders. Exceptionally high craftsmanship. Has been fully restored and refinished. See less
