A 1933 Studio publication illustrating modern interior schemes and the colour palettes used. Accurate colour photographs of interiors from this period can be hard to find, making this book an invaluable resource. Twenty-four schemes are illustrated and described including Betty Joel's living room, Syrie Maugham's all-white Chelsea room, Geoffrey Fry's flat with Eric Ravilious' decorated panels, a music room designed by Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, and schemes by John Duncan Miller, Allan Walton, John Hill, etc. A companion volume to Modern Furnishing and Decoration, also by Derek Patmore. Scarce with the dust jacket.
Derek Patmore. The Studio Limited. London. 1933. First edition. Hardback, small quarto; paper-covered boards, backed with red cloth, dust jacket. [c.130 pages]. Tipped-in colour palette plate and 24 tipped-in colour plates of interior schemes. English. 260 x 195mm. 0.8kg.
