There are creatures that cannot truly be tamed. You can put a collar on them—it’s there, barely noticeable, almost a formality. But the gaze does not lie.
Red is not a color chosen for beauty. It is a temperature. An internal one. The figure and the background are painted in the same palette—ochre, gold, heat—as if she were not standing before a fire, but were the fire itself, having simply taken shape.
A cold, gray gaze looks past the viewer. It does not avert its eyes—it simply sees something else, something beyond our reach.
