Condition: good original condition Special Remarks: few signs of use. This ash extending table is simple and straightforward in construction and of high quality. It shows only minor signs of wear, although a few minor blemishes in the clear varnish had to be touched up. Ash wood has a special feature: When exposed to light, the rather pale wood takes on an intense honey tone, clearly visible here, as the extension leaves are significantly lighter than the rest of the table. Despite its age, it still functions very well. this Object: We are offering this elegant and practical ash extending table from a private collection. Thanks to careful handling, it has survived for over 60 years in the home of the previous owners, along with the matching chairs. The ensemble, both in design and materials, is somewhat reminiscent of Charlotte Perriand's Chalet chairs. Her designs were highly influential; internationally acclaimed, they inspired many modern manufacturers of their time. The table features a brand mark on the bottom of the crossbar: a maple leaf with two horizontal notches. See less
