The decoration wraps around all sides, showing various vignettes with architectural elements and landscape details. Parchment covers the wooden trunk and serves as the surface for the lacquer and gilt decoration. Original iron hardware includes center lock plate and side handles. Hinged lid opens to reveal interior storage compartment. Trunk rests on a separate painted wooden stand with shaped apron and straight legs.
