Vintage mixed media quadtych attributed to Mexican artist Enrique Rico (1941-2011), c. 1970s-80s. Unsigned. Each panel consists of intricately engraved metal and painted wood on wood board. Each panel is 24" x 24".
Enrique Rico was a key figure in bringing abstract art to Jalisco, Mexico, working across painting, sculpture, and early digital art. He was a professor at the Center for Art, Architecture, and Design at the University of Guadalajara for decades. He’s well known for creating Guadalajara’s iconic Fuente Olímpica sculpture, often mixing pure abstract shapes with subtle organic forms and figures.
