He was best known for modernist marine genre, seascapes and coastal scenes . He was born Paul Mckinley Henrie in Tampa Florida, and he established himself in Laguna Beach California Community in 1960. He lived in a Hillside home with his wife and child. Later he moved to Carmel California. He is known for watercolor and pallet knife painting.
