____________________________
“Klaus Neuper’s painted worlds unfold on the one hand on the canvas, while on the other hand, through impasto mixed media techniques and relief-like engravings, they suggest a creative bridge to real and three-dimensional space. For in his layering and glazing techniques, and through the graphic method he employs—etching linear drawings into the still-wet paint with a brush—he reminds us of…” Neuper's art is reminiscent of the mixed media technique of so-called "wall paintings," as created before him by important painters such as Willi Baumeister, Joan Miró, and Antonio Tàpies (Gerhard Kolberg).
from 2004, Klaus Neuper was Professor of Art at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences.
from 1969 onward, he held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions.
