This work, "In the Studio," was part of the exhibition "The Frankfurt Secession and its Guests" (September 25 to November 7, 1965), Frankfurter Salon, Frankfurt am Main, cat. no. 24.
It is also illustrated with a small black-and-white image in the catalogue raisonné by Roswitha Nees:

Ernst Geitlinger is considered an important pioneer of Concrete Art and a trailblazer for abstract art in Germany after 1945.

1951–65 Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich
from 1965 Founded the private painting school "Atelier Geitlinger" in Munich
1983 Former students of Geitlinger founded the "Ernst Geitlinger Society"
