It is a rectangular wool rug with a multi-colored floral motif. The striking "Mandarin" design, with a black background that highlights a rich floral motif, is composed of large stylized flower corollas in shades of pink, fuchsia, and magenta, accompanied by secondary flowers in shades of blue, purple, and yellow, intertwined with dense petrol-green foliage.
The perimeter border features a geometric pattern of multicolored diagonal bands (yellow, turquoise, pink, blue, and green) that frames the central field with a strong dynamic accent, a distinctive element of Ottavio Missoni's stylistic language, characterized by the bold use of color and the dialogue between decorative motifs and visual rhythm.
