Anja Decker
Painter, draughtswoman.
She spent her youth in Germany, Switzerland, and Crimea.
from 1928, she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, ultimately becoming a master student of Olaf Gulbransson.
1929–38 Study trips to Austria, Hungary, Yugoslavia, England, Belgium, and repeatedly to Italy and France.
1938 Attended the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
from 1953 onward, "feverish exploration" (Bernd Dürr) and engagement with abstract painting.
