A pair of antique biscuit porcelain sculptures depicting two female figures with flowing dresses, two young girls holding onto their hats, on square bases. They are made of hand-painted polychrome porcelain with gold details. They are a beautiful example of the plasticity of Southern Italian art. They are in excellent condition. They date back to the first half of the 20th century and bear no hallmark.
This pair of girls with hats is an example of 20th-century Italian biscuit figurines. Made of a porous, unglazed ceramic material called biscuit, these figures depict two elegantly dressed young women adorned with fashionable hats of the time.
