Housed on a tiered, pierced brass gallery base, the lamp features an incredibly detailed, high-relief hand-painted scene on a matte black ground. It comes complete with its beautiful vintage knife-pleated fabric shade.

It features a rich narrative scene depicting immortal Buddhist Arhats (Lohans) with halos, a young attendant, and a sacred white elephant carrying a deity beneath a pagoda.

Exceptional raised "Moriage" slip-trailing technique creates an immersive, three-dimensional tactile texture on the porcelain faces and garments with heavy, vibrant gold-gilt borders, raised detailing, and fine background dotting accentuating the scene.
