The composition is built through broad expressive brushstrokes and warm earthy colours balanced against cooler blues and greens. Small trees scattered across the foreground create a rhythmic movement through the landscape, while the distant lake and mountains give the work depth and calmness.

Born in Gothenburg in 1915, Nils Dramé eventually relocated to Östersund in northern Sweden, where he lived until his passing in 2000. Immersed in the Nordic landscape, he developed a signature style characterized by bold, confident brushwork and rich color palettes. Dramé specialized in capturing the emotional depth of the wilderness.

Presented in a painted wooden frame with worn patina and age-related colour loss around the outer edges, visible in photographs. The painting itself remains in very good vintage condition.
