Beautifully hand-pierced and finely worked throughout, this Georgian example features intricate scrolling foliate decoration, an open lattice body, scalloped border, and a graceful swing handle. The oval interior retains a bright hand-finished surface with an engraved crowned monogram, while the elaborate pierced sides and shaped rim showcase remarkable period craftsmanship.

Marked for Burrage & Davenport, a highly desirable English silversmith, this basket is a wonderful surviving example of late Georgian silver and displays beautifully from every angle.
