Anna Poulos (American 1933 - 2003) Modernist abstract figural ink drawing and watercolor painting depicting two nude women, dated verso 1966. Attractive composition with areas of light and dark void. Measures 8" x 6" sight; 13" x 10 3/4" framed. Good condition.
Anna Poulos was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin in 1933. She attended McMurray College in Jacksonville, IL and then received a Masters of Fine Art at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Poulos taught art for thirty years at the College of St. Teresa in Winona, Minnesota where she chaired the Art Department. Her work was exhibited regionally and a posthumous exhibit of her work was held at the Winona Arts Center.
