Thie is a Vintage Porcelain Pitcher (or Ewer) elegantly decorated with a maroon-red glaze, then hand-painted with florals, leaf designs … Read more Thie is a Vintage Porcelain Pitcher (or Ewer) elegantly decorated with a maroon-red glaze, then hand-painted with florals, leaf designs and scroll-work; and finished with a shiny white over glaze & 24 karat gold flake trim. It was likely handcrafted in the late 19th Century or early 20th century, and is probably Czech or Bohemian. It is well made with thick, quality porcelain/earthenware. It stands 13 inches tall and is about 9 inches across at its thickest. It could have been used in an early wash bowl set up, for supper table service or even watering an outside garden… One thing is for sure: it’s very well made, has lasted through the decades, has been loved & appreciated and is absolutely beautiful!
