Superb set of 6 silver dessert knives by jean puiforcat
"bayonne" pattern
1924, the basque coast, experiencing a tourism boom, boasted elegant art deco architecture. Jean puiforcat lived in saint-jean-de-luz and interpreted the geometric rigor and understated ornamentation of these resort towns. The bayonne solid silver flatware, with its pure, modern lines, is adorned with three fine sculptural flutes echoing the three prongs of the fork. A timeless design with neo-basque accents.
