Important Louis-Philippe period Burgundian walnut wardrobe, regional work circa 1830.
This beautifully proportioned piece features an elegant front with two doors decorated with molded diamond panels, above a drawer in the frieze.
The engaged columns on the sides and the cornice with ears give the whole a sober and balanced architecture characteristic of 19th-century Burgundian furniture. The wardrobe retains its original shelves, offering ample storage space.
It rests on toupie feet and displays a warm, aged patina that highlights the walnut grain.
Some minor restorations are needed, visible in the photographs, but these do not detract from the charm and authenticity of the piece.
A very fine piece of regional furniture, ideal for a country house or a characterful interior.
