Originally designed for kneading bread, with a deep box concealed beneath the removable top, this piece of furniture has survived for over a century before being repurposed as a dining table. The transformation is seamless: its height, dimensions, and robust construction lend themselves perfectly to this role.

the removable solid oak top, with its pronounced grain and dark patina, rests on four slightly tapered, square-sectioned, spindle-shaped legs connected by a low stretcher. The construction is straightforward and unadorned. Restored in our workshop, it has a satin varnish finish.
