Directoire-style bed in green-painted wood.
Composed of a headboard and footboard framed by turned uprights ending in small toupie feet. The headboard is topped with a triangular pediment simply adorned with a central carved rosette motif.
The original adjustable side rails allow the mattress base to be set at various heights, a typical detail of 19th-century beds. The overall design presents an elegant and refined line characteristic of the Directoire style, with its rectilinear forms and restrained decoration.
Beautiful antique green patina lends an authentic and decorative charm.
