A small elegant brass-patinated zinc table lamp from the “Zoca” series, designed by Swedish sculptor and designer Sonja Katzin (1919–2014) for Nilsjohan, Sweden, during the 1950s. The lamp features a spherical base in patinated metal with finely detailed geometric relief decoration, showcasing Katzin’s distinctive sculptural aesthetic and refined craftsmanship. Marked “Antika” underneath and made in Sweden. Model 6317. Sonja Katzin’s collaboration with Nilsjohan and ASEA produced a small number of highly artistic lighting designs characterized by intricately carved brass and zinc surfaces.
