Given that many of Johnson's paintings were rather large, the unusual small size makes it easy to fit in most spaces. The bright, bold colors used will brighten up any space while the cubist style reflects an early modern era style. A tag on the reverse has the artist's signature along with "Oil", "11 x 14" and "1977" and titled "Big Planet" in red marker on the stretcher itself.

I purchased over a dozen paintings (all were three to four times the size of this painting) by Johnson in 2018 when his storage spaces were being cleared out. I sold all but this one piece that I've kept in my own collection until now. He had been based in San Francisco, CA for many years, and then New York City.

Measures: 11" h x 14" w x 1" d.

Condition: Excellent condition with no signs of damage. Colors are bright and strong. Frame may have scuffs and scratches consistent with age. See less
