Covered with … Read more Really lovely vintage studio pottery tea bowl with a rich charcoal glaze over a warm earthy clay body. Covered with multiple impressed symbols, seal-like markings, and hand-worked characters throughout, giving it that perfect wabi-sabi feel — simple but full of personality.

The bowl appears signed “ET” on the foot along with several additional impressed marks and decorative symbols around the body that resemble kiln or studio chops. Beautiful glossy interior glaze with a substantial hand-thrown feel and organic shape.

Feels very much in the spirit of mid-century Japanese mingei or Mashiko-style pottery. One of those pieces that just looks good from every angle.

Purchased from a South Florida estate.
