Really fun mid-century studio pottery vessel with the best sculptural lizard stretched across the lid. That little guy totally makes the piece. Love the earthy glaze combination too — mossy green with deep chocolate brown carved detailing and drippy glaze throughout.
The carved band around the top gives it a lot of texture and personality, and the lid has a great handmade organic feel. One of those pieces that feels very 1970s studio pottery in the best way.
Unsigned from what I can see. Purchased from a South Florida estate.
Measures approximately 8” high x 5” diameter.
