artist araldo cavallera, an artist from saluzzo born in 1939 and who passed away in 2024. Trained in turin during the 1950s (at the art school and the albertina academy of fine arts), cavallera was a painter, graphic artist, designer, sculptor and teacher. His work focused on an abstract-informal style with a strong emphasis on materiality. In addition to painting, he created important public works, including the white rose monument in saluzzo and the memorial to the italian women deported to ravensbrück. This 1959 work perfectly represents his early style. Signed and dated piece
