The character wields a curved blade whose arc mirrors the sweeping motion of his billowing cloak. The intentionally rugged surface and vigorous modeling enhance the dramatic intensity of the piece. Produced using the lost-wax technique, the work is characterized by its sweeping dynamic and massive volumes typical of German Expressionism. The brown patina highlights the deep folds of the garment that encloses the figure like a protective shell. Dimensions : H 37 × W 59 × D 20 cm See less
