At the center, a young man stands holding a cross, flanked by soldiers in stylized uniforms forming a solemn vertical structure. At the base, a fallen soldier lies in silence, accompanied by two figures overcome by sorrow. Produced using the lost-wax technique, the work is distinguished by its deep brown patina, which enhances the play of shadows on the heavy drapery and contemplative faces. The simplified volumes and symmetrical composition make this object a powerful historical piece.
