The characters form an arc around an open book, creating a composition focused on study and concentration. The treatment of the garments in broad, stylized planes emphasizes the volume and physical presence of the subjects, while maintaining the formal simplicity. Produced using the lost-wax technique, the work is distinguished by a brown patina that highlights the rounded contours and clean surfaces. Weighing 10.8 kg, this figurative statue illustrates the themes of contemplative life and the transmission of knowledge. The bowed heads and the physical closeness of the figures convey an atmosphere of silence and reflection typical of 1930s German Expressionism. Dimensions : H 30,5 × L 29 × P 15 cm See less
