We present an exceptional bedroom furniture set consisting of an elegant vanity table and a single (originally asymmetrical) nightstand. This set represents a fascinating fusion of the elegance of Art Deco and the clean lines of the Mid-Century Modern style, dating to the transition period between these two iconic eras.
This is a highly sought-after, collectible furniture set from the renowned Czech manufacturer UP Závody (United Arts and Crafts Workshops) and is attributed to one of the most significant Czechoslovak designers, Jindřich Halabala. The set originates from the Czech Republic (Čechy).
The construction is made from a blockboard core veneered with luxurious walnut veneer featuring a magnificent, rich grain. The vanity is fitted with a tall, original glass mirror. The furniture has been professionally restored and underwent a refresh of the original polish, thereby reviving the depth and shine of the veneer.
The asymmetrical nightstand lends the entire ensemble a unique and sophisticated character. This set is not only a functional addition but, most importantly, a representative work of art that will transform any bedroom.
It has been re-polished with polyutherane piano lacquer by our professional refurbishing team in Czechia according to the original process.
