tabery conceived the chessmen series as a poetic homage to the chess piece — each lamp embodies the sculptural presence of a chess figure, with a generous spherical globe resting on an elegantly waisted goblet-form stem, finished with a signature brass ring at the base. The result is a lamp that is as much a work of sculpture as it is a functional light source — commanding attention whether illuminated or not.

executed entirely in hand-crafted white opaline glass, the lamps emit a beautifully diffused, warm and soft ambient glow when lit, characteristic of the finest bohemian glassmaking tradition. The glass is luminous, flawless, and retains its original brilliant white — a testament to the exceptional quality of czech mid-century glasswork, widely regarded among the finest in europe.

the pair is in excellent condition — no chips, cracks, or damage to the glass. Both lamps have been professionally rewired. Fully functional with european plug.
