A vibrant and luminous harbor scene depicting several sailing vessels on brilliantly blue water, with a distant coastline and figures on a quay in the foreground. Painted in oil on canvas in the Impressionist tradition, with energetic, confident brushwork and a dazzling Mediterranean palette of cobalt, white, and warm ochre.
The subject matter — sailboats on a sun-drenched southern French harbor — places this firmly within the rich tradition of Côte d'Azur painting that attracted generations of artists to the region from the late 19th century onwards. Unsigned.
