Created from original imagery captured in 2008 and reinterpreted through mirrored symmetry in 2009, the work evokes ancient iconography, weathered landscapes, and organic ceremonial forms. Veins of gold, ochre, bronze, and shadowed earth tones spread across the surface like roots, currents, or carved reliefs shaped by wind and tide. Inspired by the elemental textures of the Northern California coastline, Clifford Baker’s composition invites viewers into a contemplative landscape where nature, memory, and myth appear to converge.
