ritmica is a visual tribute to the grace and dynamism of rhythmic gymnasts. Designer dario nasuti sought to capture the essence of performance leotards—precious and shimmering under the spotlights—transforming them into a luminous sculpture. The piece is not static: the metallic mesh appears to vibrate on the glass surface, reproducing the energy of an athletic performance.

the sartorial approach: shaping metal
nasuti’s stylistic signature, deeply rooted in his high fashion heritage, shines through in the crafting of the drape. The metallic mesh isn't merely placed; it "dresses" the glass sphere through a process of manual staggered cutting on the four corners. This technique grants the metal a natural aplomb, similar to that of a circle dress, allowing industrial material to fall with unexpected softness.

materials and mechanical ingenuity

formal contrasts: the lamp consists of a 25 cm diameter glass sphere. The aesthetic highlight is the use of an oversized "globe" led bulb (ø 12.5 cm), which partially protrudes from the sphere's opening, breaking the continuity of the line and creating a bold focal point.

premium finishes: the contrast between the glass transparency and the reflective weave of the metallic mesh generates a play of light reminiscent of rhinestone reflections.

italian excellence: entirely self-produced in parma, the work features a ce-certified electrical kit with a transparent wire to avoid interfering with the piece's visual lightness.
