This vintage Japanese cabinet dates from the Shōwa period and has a particularly strong, asymmetrical layout. On the left and centre are two spacious compartments with sliding doors, made with light wooden panels and darker horizontal and vertical rails. On the right is a taller, narrow compartment with a hinged door and a decorative wooden latch, ideal for storing taller objects.

The interior is practically arranged with shelves, making the piece highly usable for contemporary storage. The combination of sliding panels, fine wooden slats and the taller side compartment gives the cabinet a calm yet distinctly graphic appearance.

The wood has a warm honey-brown tone, framed by a darker lacquered structure. The visible grain, light wear along the edges and natural signs of age give the piece character without disturbing its sober form.
