Originally this was presented as an Aviation award with an inscribed acknowledgement plaque of the event which has since fallen off at some point leaving a faint ghost outline of where it once was positioned. Bearing that in mind it is highly likely that this sublime design is one-of-a-kind skillfully crafted with extreme attention to artistic detail to the twin Streamlined Chrome plated twin-prop Aquaplanes seemingly circumnavigating the Globe. The twin planes can tilt and rotate a wide range of positions beyond what is shown allowing for ones' own personal preference. The dynamic Amber colored frosted glass "Brain Globe" shade casts an ideal glow upon the detailed twin prop Airplanes while dramatically complimenting the lamps overall design. I purchased this directly from an estate where the elderly person said this was in their parents home, who were collectors, for as long as they could remember...hence its sublime pristine condition. In my many decades of lighting hunting I have never seen another early Art Deco Aviation piece this sublime...you will never see something like this again! See less
