A French executive chair attributed to Raphaël Raffel for Apelbaum, dating to the 1970s. Upholstered in warm camel leather and set on a polished five-star swivel base with castors, the design combines the generous comfort of lounge seating with the disciplined profile of a desk chair. The high back, broad padded arms, and deep buttoned cushions give the piece a distinctly French modern character, at once substantial and elegant.
Its appeal lies in this balance of authority and softness. The leather-wrapped form feels generous and architectural, while the chromed base keeps the silhouette light and functional. An Apelbaum label remains present under the seat, confirming the French production.
