Vintage Brutalist Pine German Swiss Alpine Folk Art Tyrolean Hand Carved Dining Chairs. Pegged joints and detailed carved backs, each with a unique design. Two of the chairs have a handle cutout. Teo chairs have mountain goats, and two have deer. One of the chairs has the initials A J carved on the backrest with date of 1969. Chairs are handmade and vary slightly in size, general dimensions are: 16”W x 21”D x 33”H
SH/SD 17” x 15.5”
In overall great original antique condition, typical age appropriate patina and wear, areas of scuffs, chips, and fading to finish. One chair has a broken piece on the backrest with old glue repair, stable but would look best cleaned and re-glued. See photos for closeups.
