The water trapped inside the mud ball concretion is what causes the calcite crystals creating a crackle pattern. The yellow areas are composed of Calcite, the brown lines are Aragonite, and the outer grey skin is Limestone. Septarian ensures peace and harmony giving balance to body, mind and spirit. It has a polished finish with a nice weight to it. Well-defined features with a stable standing base. Artist unknown. Purchased in Utah. In great, well-preserved condition.
