There are designs on … Read more This is a beautiful European (English or Dutch) vintage embossed brass log holder or coal scuttle. There are designs on each side of it and has a snake handle. One side displays a donkey and rider while the other side has a design. Donkeys are common themes in Dutch and English brassware. The snake handle might symbolize folklore, a protective emblem.
