Two festive biedermeier silver candlesticks on a round, smooth raised base with a smooth, baluster-shaped shaft, with floral and acanthus leaf relief decoration on the bulging rings, vase-shaped spouts with palmette engraving on the top. Branded by the wheel mark, austrian official hallmark for 13 lot silver, dating 1839 master's mark: 'cs' in rectangle, for christian sander senior authorisation 1819, retirement 1859, died 1874, established family business, continued by his sons.
