It is centered on the story of a figure who chose a stable path out of fear, fear of failure, of disappointing others, and of making the wrong decision, while a deeper calling remained unpursued.

The second figure represents that suppressed direction, a version of life shaped by purpose and desire. Surrounding eyes appear throughout the composition, suggesting presence, observation, and the influence of forces beyond the individual, including memory, expectation, and inherited pressure.

Rendered with bold color and expressive form, the work reflects the internal conflict between what is expected and what is truly wanted. It considers the cost of safety, and the idea of freedom as something that must be recognized before it can be pursued.
